Davit Zalkaliani to take part in 40th Session of UN Human Rights Council
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani will visit Geneva on February 25-26. Minister will attend and deliver a speech at the High-Level Segment of 40th Session of UN Human Rights Council.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, at the High Level Segment of the 40th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Georgian side will provide the international community with information about the steps taken by Georgia to improve human rights situation in the country, the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories, including the grave violation of human rights.
“Within the frameworks of his visit to Geneva, FM Zalkaliani will meet with the President of the UN Human Rights Council, President of the UN Human Rights High Commissioner, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Head of the UN Geneva Office, Director General of the World Trade Organization, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, Director General of the World Health Organization, as well as with Foreign Ministers of various countries”, – the information released by the Ministry reads.
