Culture Ministry: 22 Georgian students studying at 17 arts institutions across nine European countries

With financial support from Georgia’s Ministry of Culture, young Georgians have been given the opportunity to pursue academic studies at leading arts institutions around the world.

The participating institutions include the University of Strasbourg, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts, the University of Music and Theatre Munich, the Ozymos Academy, the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory, the Royal Conservatories of Antwerp and Liège, St. Louis College of Music, and the Tosti International Singing Academy.

According to the Ministry of Culture, the project aims to expand access to higher arts education, facilitate the integration of young artists into international contemporary arts processes, increase their motivation, and support their professional and career development.

“Supporting talented young people and promoting their professional development is one of the state’s most important priorities. To this end, the Ministry of Culture implements a number of programs,” the ministry said.
