Culture Committee Chairwoman re-elected UNESCO Peace Ambassador

Eliso Bolkvadze, a well-known Georgian pianist and Chairwoman of the parliamentary Culture Committee, has been elected UNESCO Peace Ambassador for the second term.

Eliso Bolkvadze is attending the UNESCO Ambassadorial in Paris upon the invitation of the UNESCO Director-General, Audrey Azoulay.

According to the Georgian Parliament’s press service, Bolkvadze took part in an assembly session and spoke about the role of culture and art, significance of cultural dialogue as the core message of peace and harmony to humankind.

On the sidelines of the UNESCO Ambassadorial, Eliso Bolkvadze will meet culture sphere representatives from different countries.
