Court leaves Otar Abesadze in custody

Former employee of Tbilisi Sakrebulo (City Council) Otar Abesadze will remain imprisoned. The court did not satisfy the motion filed by the defense side that requested its preventive measure – detention to be replaced with a different one.

As Otar Abesadze’s lawyer remarked, the detainee’s health condition is critical and the examination conclusion confirms this but the judge still supposes he is dangerous.

“The judiciary is doing its best to kill Otar Abesadze… He felt bad at the trial. Now we are waiting for the emergency brigade,” – lawyer claimed.
