COP27: Georgian FM hopes for tangible outcomes

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, in his address to the COP27 Climate Change Conference, will discuss the country’s challenges and plans to take effective steps in this regard, Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said on Monday.

FM Darchiashvili is “sure” that the PM’s visit will yield “tangible outcomes.”

“Georgia has traditionally been represented at a high level as part of the UN Climate Change Conference, and I am confident that the Georgian delegation participation will bring concrete tangible results,” Darchiashvili told media outlets.

Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili arrived in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, and Chargé d’Affaires of Georgia to Egypt, Mikheil Tigishvili welcomed Prime Minister Garibashvili at the airport.
