Committee ends parliamentary authority to Levan Mgaloblishvili following appointment as Abkhazia Government Head
The Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules has addressed the premature termination of Levan Mgaloblishvili’s parliamentary authority.
Irakli Kadagishvili, the committee chair, stated that Mgaloblishvili’s appointment as head of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia is incompatible with his status as a member of parliament, as outlined in the Constitution and parliamentary regulations.
The committee unanimously supported the draft resolution to terminate his authority early.
