Committee hearings to be held about structural changes in government

Committee hearings and extraordinary sessions will be held in the parliament this week about structural changes in the government. The legislative package will be discussed with the first hearing at the extraordinary sitting on July 4.

After passing through three readings, the legislative package will be submitted to President Giorgi Margvelashvili for signing.

Based on the proposed changes, ten ministries and one office of state minister will remain out of 14 ministries. The concept of small government is said to aim at welfare of Georgian citizens.
