ComCom Head meets US Embassy Economic Attaché
The Chairperson of the Georgian National Communications Commission, Goga Gulordava, met with the Economic Attaché of the United States Embassy in Georgia. The meeting was also attended by Commission member Ekaterine Imedadze and other representatives of the Commission.
According to the Commission’s press service, Gulordava and Commission representatives provided detailed information about the agency’s activities and the current situation in the sectors under its regulatory oversight.
The discussions covered developments in Georgia’s telecommunications sector, key trends, existing challenges, and projects being implemented to promote competition in the telecommunications market. Particular attention was paid to Georgia’s geographical advantages and its potential to develop as a regional digital hub. The ongoing development of fiber-optic infrastructure in the country was also addressed.
“The parties reaffirmed their readiness to cooperate,” the Communications Commission said in a statement.
