CoE's Berset commends Georgia’s participation in European convention, emphasizes progress
Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, highlighted Georgia’s long-standing membership in the Council and its active participation in the signing of the Convention.
“I would also like to recall that Georgia has for many years been a member of the Council of Europe and was present this morning to sign the convention. This is a very positive element, but at the same time, we need to make progress working together as a member of the Council of Europe.
As you know, we have been in regular contact, and it is important to find a way to restore convergence on values and commitments — the core elements that make us one continent with 46 member states within the Council of Europe,” Berset said.
