“Today at 5 p.m., leaders from the Coalition For Change and other opposition parties will gather at the exit of the metro station Railway Station Square, then march towards Rustaveli Avenue,” stated Nika Melia, the leader of Coalition For Change.
Melia claims that the recent elections were manipulated, denying Georgians their “European and progressive choice,” and pledged that the opposition would not concede.
“The Georgian democratic opposition forces won these elections, and the victory will return to the people,” he stated, highlighting that international and local opposition voices are united in challenging the results.
The opposition promises continued demonstrations in Tbilisi over the coming days, with Melia asserting that support for the opposition exceeds a million votes.
“The winner is the Georgian opposition, backed by Georgian society. No one in the Georgian Dream party should have the illusion that anyone will give up, even one person,” Melia declared.
