Tbilisi City Hall will purchase six more real properties within the homeless family housing program, said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze at the municipality government sitting.
“Our election promise was to provide housing for homeless families. It is a very important program, and we promised the population that we would leave no person without a home in Tbilisi,” Kaladze announced.
Tbilisi Mayor said citizens facing a similar problem should first obtain homeless status from the Health Ministry. The Tbilisi Hall will then review the issue. There are 400 homeless families registered at the Social Affairs Municipal Service.
Tbilisi City Hall has purchased 79 dwellings within the framework of the program.
