From January 1, Tbilisi City Hall enforced the restricted movement for heavy vehicles on work days, in the mornings and evenings and during rush hours in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said at the municipal government meeting. The violation of the set rules will result in a fine of GEL 1000.
Tbilisi Mayor reported that the volume of the city budget, including the carry-over balance, will reach GEL 2 billion. The municipal government will discuss the draft 2024 Tbilisi budget with the proposed changes and submit it to the City Assembly (Sakrebulo) for approval.
The purchase of 18-meter-long buses, arrangement of recreation spaces, underground communication systems, infrastructure and culture, education, youth and social projects remain the priority in the Tbilisi budget.
