Citizen party calls for unification talks among non-dominant parties

Aleko Elisashvili, the leader of the Citizen party, has offered several parties in Georgia to discuss ways for unification.

Elisashvili emphasized the need for collaboration among moderate and pro-Western parties, stressing that while individual efforts can break barriers, they cannot effect substantial governmental change. He proposed setting aside partisan agendas temporarily to focus on common goals.

“I have an offer with the parties, which are neither National Movement nor Georgian Dream, to talk about the ways of unification. Moderate forces, the pro-Western parties, must realize that we can cross the barrier individually, but we cannot change the government,” stated Elisashvili.

He identified potential allies such as Lelo, Gakharia’s party, Girchi, Ana Dolidze, and other non-partisan figures, expressing readiness to engage in dialogue with them.
