Chinese Ambassador says China and Georgia have right to choose strategic partners

China and Georgia are both independent countries. We have the right to make a choice about who is our partner; who is our strategic partner, said the Chinese Ambassador to Georgia, Zhou Qian.

He said that China and the European Union also have a strategic partnership.

“My personal opinion is that without China and the EU, we will have no success for the Middle Corridor. Because what is important for the Middle Corridor is logistics between China and Europe. It is the manufacturing power and the goods that China produces, and the consumer market is in the EU. This means that without the support of China and the EU, there will be no success for the Middle Corridor. I got some information that the EU is very active in supporting the Middle Corridor. I think this is another important platform for China-EU cooperation,” the Chinese Ambassador declared.
