Chairman of National Movement faction puts padlock on plenary session hall
Roman Gotsiridze, Chairman of National Movement faction of the parliament declared boycott to the activities of the parliament and put a padlock on the plenary session hall.
Gotsiridze said that National Movement adhered to the demands of snap parliamentary elections, resignation of the government and holding of elections with proportional election system. “Do you want the war with padlocks? You will have it,” Gotsiridze told the majority lawmakers.
Archil Talakvadze, Speaker of the Parliament returned chains and padlocks to the opposition during the bureau sitting of the parliament on November 18.
Oppositional representatives blocked entrances of the parliament on November 17. They put chains on the fences and padlocks on doors.
