CEC Summarizes final results of parliamentary by-election

The Central Election Commission (CEC) summarized the final results of the 2 April parliamentary by-election of Georgia.

According to summary protocol, ruling Georgian Dream candidate Irakli Shatakishvili was elected as a member of the parliament, representing Rustavi and part of Gardabani.  He received 90.61% (34 333 votes) of votes.

As for other candidates, Mamuka Tuskadze  ‘For Social Justice’ received 2 634 votes (6.95%) and Kamal Muradkhanov from Georgian Unity and Development Party – 923 votes (2.44%).
