The Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) released the information for Georgian citizens living abroad in connection with the forthcoming second round of 2018 presidential elections in Georgia.
Based on the information, in order a citizen of Georgia could take part in the elections, he/she should be registered at a consulate or at an address of a foreign country according to the Georgian legislation.
“If Georgian citizens living in foreign countries want to participate in elections, they have to apply to the consulate departments or diplomatic representations or visit the web-page of Consulate Department of Georgian Foreign Ministry at www.geoconsul.gov.ge for registration.
The CEC will have summed up the final results if October 28 first round of presidential polls by November 8 and will then determine the necessary procedures and terms for the second round of 2018 presidential elections.
