CEC not to satisfy UNM complaints

The Central Election Commission (CEC) today held a meeting to summarize the results of the 2021 runoff local elections in Georgia.

The CEC did not satisfy 11 complaints submitted by the United National Movement (UNM) party tagging them as “groundless.”

The UNM mayoral candidates left the sitting in protest. Oppositional members also quit the meeting.
Opposition representatives and supporters rallied outside the CEC building in parallel of the sitting.
