CEC: GD leads with 54,24%, opposition gets 37.33% in total
Preliminary data from 3,018 election precincts (97.01%) published on the Central Election Commission’s (CEC) website reveals that the Georgian Dream party has secured 54.24% of the votes, amounting to 1,087,801 votes.
The total support for the four opposition groups is 37.33%. The individual results are as follows:
– Coalition for Change (Gvaramia, Melia, Girchi, Droa) – 10.81% (216,691 votes)
– Unity – National Movement – 10.07% (201,937 votes)
– Strong Georgia (Lelo, for People, for Liberty) – 8.72% (174,921 votes)
– Gakharia for Georgia – 7.73% (154,916 votes)
The parliamentary elections in Georgia were held on October 26, 2024. The 150 seats in the parliament will be filled through proportional representation. Only parties that exceed the 5% election threshold will qualify for seats.
