CEC confirms Zaza Gogava's withdrawal request from Unity-National Movement list
Zaza Gogava, a member of the Unity-National Movement, has requested the Central Election Commission (CEC) to remove his name from the election list submitted to the commission. The CEC confirmed this information to the GPB First Channel.
Gogava submitted his application on September 27, and parties can make changes to their lists until October 10.
“Under Georgian legislation, a candidate has the right to withdraw from the elections. Gogava’s request would be considered during the registration process of party lists,” the CEC stated.
Earlier on the same day, Ahmed Imamkuliev also claimed that his name was included on the parliamentary list of the National Movement without his consent and requested its immediate removal from the electoral list.
