Chair of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Giorgi Kalandarishvili and Deputy Chair Giorgi Sharabidze met with Sean Dunne, Director of the International Republican Institute (IRI) observation mission, and mission representatives.

Giorgi Kalandarishvili provided a detailed overview of the October 26 elections and key related issues. He informed the meeting participants about the election administration’s stance on accusations, disinformation campaigns, election disputes, and ongoing court proceedings. He also discussed the conclusions and findings of the final audit report published by the American company “PRO V&V.”

As Kalandarishvili noted, the election administration stays informed of reports from international organizations and strives to incorporate their recommendations into the election process.

On the other hand, representatives of the international monitoring organization shared their views on the October 26 elections with Giorgi Kalandarishvili. Having monitored the elections from the pre-election period, they discussed their pre-election report, findings, and recommendations in detail.

Giorgi Kalandarishvili thanked the organization’s representatives for observing the October 26 elections and sharing their findings. The parties also discussed the recommendations and potential ways to address them within the agency’s authority.

The observation mission representatives, Daniel Kerekes, Maya Milikich, and Elene Asashvili, attended the meeting at the CEC.
