The Central Election Commission (CEC) is urging the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) to disclose the results of the Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT) to dispel any concerns regarding potential manipulations of gender statistics.

During a briefing, CEC Spokesperson Natia Ioseliani explained that, due to the vote-counting methodology and specific circumstances, there were only slight discrepancies in gender statistics at a few polling stations, attributable to voters listed on special registries.

“We remind the public that voters on special lists cast their ballots at designated polling stations. These individuals include election administration staff, inmates, and military personnel who vote at addresses different from their registered ones due to their work conditions. There are 11 such polling stations, and the discrepancies involved approximately 150 voters,” Ioseliani noted.

The CEC Spokesperson also emphasized that the PVT results would effectively eliminate allegations of significant discrepancies.

“ISFED has indicated that it conducted the PVT on Election Day, October 26 and that these results align fully with the preliminary data published by the CEC. Therefore, we call on ISFED to publish the results of the Parallel Vote Tabulation rather than fostering misconceptions. The PVT data will clarify any uncertainties regarding voter turnout, gender distribution, and other statistical aspects of the election results,” she stated.
