CEC announces competition for selecting temporary members of district election commissions
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced a competition to select temporary members of district election commissions for the October 4, 2025, local government elections.
According to the agency, the Central Election Commission adopted the corresponding resolution at its meeting on August 5.
Following established practice in recent years, election administration will conduct the selection process for temporary members of district election commissions for municipal elections openly and transparently. Accordingly, the candidate selection process will be conducted with maximum transparency, as interviews will be held openly in live mode with the candidates’ consent. Involved parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to directly observe the interviews through CEC’s official social media channels.
Regarding the competition details, a selection process for temporary members of district election commissions has been announced in 73 districts, with three vacant positions available in each district. Applications from candidates interested in joining the district election commissions commenced today.
We urge interested persons who meet the requirements set by electoral legislation to be active and submit competition documentation promptly. Please note that competition documents will be accepted from August 6 to August 7, 2025, until 18:00, at Georgia’s Central Election Commission. Applicants may also submit competition documentation through the special electronic platform (Konkursi.cec.gov.ge).
