“Unfortunately, my pessimistic expectations realized,” Shota Burjanadze, founder of the Restaurants Association, said after the meeting with the governmental economic team on Tuesday.
Burjanadze noted, steps by the government lack logical explanation, and their decisions are wrong.
“There is a complete misunderstanding among the business community, epidemiologists, and the state. The current gap has further widened. The business is on the verge of collapse, and a social explosion is imminent”, he said.
Shota Burjanadze believes that business should resume operation following safety recommendations within the regulations.
Representatives of the tourism sector held a meeting with the governmental economic team on Tuesday. The epidemiologists also attended the meeting. Managers of restaurants and hotels requested to be allowed to resume work.
