Tbilisi restaurants to suspend delivery for 24 hours

Eighty-six restaurants in Tbilisi will stop online delivery for 24 hours on January 29, Shota Burjanadze, Head of the Restaurants Association, told the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).

According to Shota Burjanadze, this decision is a protest against Covid-19 restrictions imposed in the country.

“The country is on the verge of social upheaval because of the lockdown. Businesses go bankrupt, and unemployment is rising. No effective measures are taken to resolve the problems,” Burjanadze said.

The Restaurants Association will join the rally at the Governmental Administration on January 29 to demand a relaxation of restrictions and business reopening.
