Business associations demand meeting with PM

Georgian business associations jointly appealed to Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia on Wednesday to consider their recommendations for the country’s social-economic recovery.

Business representatives demand meeting with PM, epidemiologists, and the government’s economic team to find ways to pull the country out of the crisis together.

“More active involvement of business is paramount in the wake of the gradual reopening of the economy. In a bid to rev up the country’s social-economic recovery, several restrictions should lift. The matter concerns weekend work permits, tax breaks, catering facilities’ indoor service permits, winter resorts reopening, and rescheduling the movement restrictions for two hours later, from 11 pm instead of 9 pm,” the statement reads.

Business associations express readiness to participate in the Covid-19 vaccine import process into Georgia and vow to search for relevant business contacts and financial resources in this regard.
