One of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks, the Burj Khalifa, has once again been illuminated in the colours of the Georgian flag.
The Georgian Public Broadcaster’s correspondent reports that this display was intended to honour the Georgian delegation participating in the World Government Summit.
The main theme of this year’s summit is Shaping Future Governments. It has drawn over 6,000 delegates, including more than 30 heads of state and government, as well as representatives from over 80 international organizations and delegations from 140 countries. Among those attending is Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, who travelled to Dubai with the delegation.
For reference, the Burj Khalifa was previously illuminated in the colours of the Georgian flag on January 27 of this year. That occasion marked the signing of a significant agreement regarding a $6 billion investment in Georgia.
