The Bundestag’s Committee on European Union Affairs delegation will visit Georgia on May 2-5.
According to the German Embassy in Georgia, the delegation will comprise Christian Petry from the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), Ralph Brinkhaus, Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Thomas Hacker, Free Democratic Party (FDP), and several other German politicians.
The delegation members will meet Georgian Justice Minister Rati Bregadze, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Deputy Foreign Minister Teimuraz Janjalia, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and chairpersons of the parliamentary committees.
German politicians are also scheduled to meet with the civic society, media and culture representatives.
The meetings will focus on reforms for EU membership, closer cooperation with the EU, regional security challenges, geo-political issues, and the Georgia-Germany relationship.
