British Embassy in Georgia demands from Russia a clear explanation on the death of Irakli Kvaratskhelia
British Embassy in Georgia demands from Russia a clear explanation on the death of Irakli Kvaratskhelia (Georgian citizen who died in Gali region).
The embassy released a statement on social network “Twitter”.
“Saddened by death of Georgian Irakli Kvaratskhelia detained at a Russian facility in Abkhazia. Our thoughts are with his family. Only Russia can provide credible explanation. Denying access for international human rights monitors to Abkhazia and South Ossetia makes these tragedies more likely, – the statement reads.
The dead body of Irakli Kvaratskhelia was repatriated from the occupied territory through the Enguri Bridge on March 13.
