Bread price may drop by 10 tetri, Georgian Bread Bakers Association says

Due to lower wheat costs on the global market, the price of bread may drop by 10 tetri, said Malkhaz Dolidze, Chair of the Georgian Bread Bakers Association.

The wheat price dwindled from $500 to $340 per ton, Dolidze said, hoping the local gristmills would open up, boosting competition.

To date, one sack of flour cost varies from GEL 76 to 77.
