Borjomi forest fire spreads to Akhaltsikhe

The Borjomi forest fire is spreading to Akhaltsikhe, Southern Georgia, reaching residential settlements.

Despite the heavy smoke, helicopters continue to battle the fire, GPB First Channel journalist reports from the spot.

Starting today, Turkish firefighting planes will also involve in the extinguishing process.

The fire broke out on August 19 near Kvabiskhevi village in Borjomi Municipality.
