“The Holy Synod will convene and make a decision that will please God,” said Bishop Saba Intskirveli, ordained on the Continent of North America.

According to Bishop Saba, no interference is acceptable in the activities of the Holy Synod.

“Some issues were reviewed during the previous Holy Synod meeting. Some other issues will be discussed on April 28. Three candidates for the next patriarch will be named on April 28.

There was no interference in my case; there is no interference. The Holy Synod will be held and will make a decision. Wait, we pray, and with God’s help, there will be a decision that will please God,” he said.

When asked by a reporter whether the likely candidates have been identified, Bishop Saba noted: “This is a secret ballot, and I will not say anything in advance.”
