“I hope that today our society will be active, go to the ballot boxes in large numbers, and make the right choice,” Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, stated after casting his vote in local self-government elections.

Ivanishvili noted that Georgian Dream enabled society to make a free choice.

“Today marks another important day in the history of our country. Free elections, which Georgia has been holding for years, remain one of the most significant expressions of democracy. Our party, Georgian Dream, has given society the opportunity to make free choices—just as we have ensured freedom of speech, business, and everyday life in recent years.

For 13 years in power, together with our people, we have achieved remarkable progress in many areas. Yet our greatest success is that both Georgian Dream and society as a whole have learned to think critically and make objective assessments. Our citizens can clearly distinguish right from wrong, and this is reflected in the results of every election. The development of civil society has empowered people to take responsibility and express their will through democratic processes, leading to the successes we see today.

No matter what our opponents say, if their claims are not objective, the Georgian people will not be misled. Our society has learned to distinguish truth from falsehood and to make the right choice. We hope that today our citizens will be active, go to the polls, and once again make the right decision for Georgia’s future,” Ivanishvili said.
