The Georgian coastal city of Batumi has been shortlisted for Europe’s Leading All-Season Destination at the prestigious World Travel Awards.

The European Gala Ceremony will take place today in Italy, with the event attended by Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Government of Adjara, along with members of the delegation.

This nomination places Batumi among esteemed European cities such as Budapest, Geneva, Munich, Salzburg, and Stockholm, competing for one of the most recognised awards in the tourism industry.

Since its inception in 1993, the World Travel Awards have sought to identify and celebrate excellence within the tourism sector. Each year, hundreds of nominations are submitted, with thousands of nominees across various categories divided by country, making this a highly competitive and respected accolade.
