Batumi City Court holds trial for Batumelebi founder Mzia Amaglobeli

The Batumi City Court is currently conducting a trial for Mzia Amaglobeli, the founder of Batumelebi, and is set to consider a preventive measure against Amaglobeli.

The prosecutor’s office is requesting her imprisonment as a preventive measure. In response, Amaglobeli’s lawyer, Paata Diasamidze, has filed a motion advocating for bail as an alternative preventive measure. He has requested the court to set the bail at GEL 100,000 on behalf of his client.

Yesterday, the prosecutor’s office formally charged Mzia Amaglobeli under Article 353 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to assaulting a police officer.

The law enforcement officers arrested Amaglobeli on January 12 under the same article of the Criminal Code, which addresses offences related to assaulting a police officer.
