Azerbaijani Economy Minister: Trilateral Forum Strengthens Georgia-Azerbaijan-Turkey Economic Ties

“The Trilateral Economic Forum and Business Sector Meeting is an important step in deepening economic, trade, and investment relations between our countries. Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey are connected not only by geography, but also by centuries-old peaceful coexistence, friendship, and trust,” said Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov at the Georgia-Azerbaijan-Turkey Trilateral Business Forum.

Jabbarov emphasized that this close relationship is especially significant for Azerbaijan.

“It is no coincidence that Azerbaijani investments in the Georgian economy exceed $3 billion. Azerbaijan is a leading investor, and hundreds of other Azerbaijani companies are represented across various sectors, including tourism, real estate, manufacturing, and agriculture. I would like to particularly highlight the joint projects our countries have implemented to develop energy security, transport corridors, and infrastructure. These projects not only serve the interests of our nations but also contribute to broader regional and European energy security and connectivity — from Central Asia and China in the east to European markets in the west.

We are pleased with Georgia’s sustainable economic growth and congratulate our friends and partners on these achievements. The format and venue of this event reflect the glorious past and traditions of this region, and also give a clear vision of Georgia’s future — a period of economic prosperity and expansion of regional trade partnerships,” Jabbarov said.
