Azerbaijani Defense Minister visits Georgian Special Operations Command base in Mukhrani

As part of his official visit to Georgia, Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Zakir Hasanov, visited the Major Gela Chedia Special Operations Command Base in Mukhrani.

The Azerbaijani delegation was hosted by Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Irakli Chikovani, and the Commander of the Georgian Defence Forces, Giorgi Matiashvili.

During the visit, the guests toured the Special Operations Command’s infrastructure and reviewed its weapons systems and equipment.

The Commander of the Special Operations Command, Teimuraz Klateishvili, briefed the delegation on the unit’s activities and presented Hasanov with a commemorative plaque.

Other senior officials from Georgia’s Ministry of Defense also attended the visit.
