Assignation of MAP to Georgia discussed during NATO-Georgia-Ukraine Commission sitting

Assignation of Membership Action Plan (MAP) to Georgia was discussed during the NATO-Georgia-Ukraine Commission sitting – Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary-General told journalists after completion of the sitting. He said that Foreign Ministers raised the issue.

“We support Georgia’s integration into NATO. NATO is assisting Georgia in carrying out of reforms and modernization of armed forces,” Stoltenberg claimed.

During the press conference, he also slammed occupation of Georgian regions by Russia and called on Moscow for the pullout of its armed forces from Georgia’s territory.
