The Speaker of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze and the Parliamentary Delegation serve the visit to the USA.
The Speaker attended the official reception of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Partnership and met with the Georgian students studying in the USA.
Within the MCC project, talented students from various regions of Georgia participate in NASA scientific program. They shared their innovative ideas and impressions at the meeting with the Speaker.
The Speaker was also hosted by the Chair of the House Democracy Partnership Committee, Congressman David Price. The parties discussed the democratic development of Georgia and EU integration, emphasizing Georgia-USA strategic partnership enhancement.
“We are glad to host the new Speaker of Georgian Parliament today and we believe that no matter the outcomes of the upcoming elections, Georgia will always remain a good friend of the USA and will continue cooperation with our country and the West and access the European family of the Parliamentary democracies”, – The Congressman Price noted.
The Speaker also held the meeting with the Senators Ron Johnson and Roger Wicker, as well as the NDI President, Derek Mitchell.
