The settlement, which dates back to the eighth-sixth centuries B.C. was discovered in the village Bogreshi, Svaneti.
As Zviad Kvitsiani, Archeology Professor of Tbilisi State University, told the First Channel, in this area where archaeological excavations started already in 1979, settlement, dating back to BC, was discovered, including flooring and ornamental ceramics based on which the date can be identified.
As Professor notes, various artefacts have been found in recent years, but archaeological excavations have begun in intense regime since August 1 and the settlement has been confirmed.
