Angela Merkel – Europe is facing difficulties

German Chancellor Angela Merkel believes that Russian hybrid war, which is attacking weak countries, serves as one of the reasons why Europe is facing difficulties.

German Chancellor said in her speech given before the 55th Munich Security Conference that negotiations with Russia were still far from reaching the consensus.

Merkel talked about the annexation of Crimea and underlined that Russia harshly violated the international law in 2014.

German Chancellor also focused on Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty and reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin had announced intentions to quit the INF Treaty as early as in 2007.
