He explained that the first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed by 2029.
“We are hopeful that the project will be completed by 2028, though 2029 remains the latest possible deadline. By then, we will be capable of handling 600,000 containers annually. During the first phase, an investment of 600 million dollars will be made. The Belgian company is already working on infrastructure, and these efforts will continue intensively,” Kobakhidze noted.
