For Georgia opposition party member Ana Buchukuri, on Tuesday, said “Oligarchs and corruption must end in this country.”
Her remark comes after Speaker Shalva Papuashvili stated, “In Georgia, a question is being asked more and more often, whether Kezerashvili enjoys certain guarantees of freedom in exchange for funding these radical groups in Georgia. His handing over to Georgian authorities by the EU is the only way to dispel these suspicions.”
Buchukuri referred to Bidzina Ivanishvili and Davit Kezerashvili as oligarchs.
“If anybody has carte blanche over David Kezerashvili, it’s the Georgian Dream party. Why do you ask? Remember how Irakli Kobakhidze protected David Kezerashvili during the inquiry into the call centre case?
When we asked for the formation of a temporary investigating committee, Irakli Kobakhidze refused, in breach of the regulations.
UNM and GD collaborate on earning black money through call centres, which are widely known throughout the city.
The Europeans initiated the probe into Kezerashvili’s case, and it was Europe that sparked the scandalous topic surrounding call centres.
I would advise Shalva Papuashvili to speak a little less because he has no idea what is going on in his party or how much money his party and himself are getting,” Buchukuri said.
