Amiran Gamkrelidze: next three or four weeks will be quite difficult

Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control, said that Georgia has not yet reached the peak of the virus spread.

As Amiran Gamkrelidze notes the next three or four weeks will be quite difficult.

“Growth is slow and the country has not yet reached the peak of the virus spread. We already have cases of internal spread from March 22-23, consequently, as usual, the next seven to eight weeks is often difficult. So we all need to be very careful over the next three to four weeks. If we want to pass this peak period with less damage, we should follow the recommendations of the National Center for Disease Control and the state as much as possible, ” – Amiran Gemkrelidze told Georgian First Channel.

He said that it is difficult to make any further prognosis.
