Ambassador Zhou Qian says visa free regime highlights importance of Georgia-China strategic partnership

Chinese Ambassador to Georgia Zhou Qian on Thursday said the visa-free regime between China and Georgia “stresses the importance of the strategic partnership between the nations which is based on mutual respect.”

Zhou Qian went on to say that “just the first season this year, Chinese tourist flow to Georgia increased by 290% compared with last year. So, I believe with this new visa-free regime, not only tourists but also the mutual contact among the business circle, science and technology, academic circles and culture, and people-to-people will increase very fast.”

“China is the biggest market in the world. The visa-free regime will bring many more opportunities for businessmen and for all of the Georgian people to explore the Chinese market and get more fruitful results,” reads his statement as delivered.
