Ambassador Taliashvili: Georgian Embassy debuts national stand at Anacostia-Bolling cultural exhibition
On March 24, the Embassy of Georgia presented a Georgian stand for the first time at the International Cultural Exhibition held at the Anacostia-Bolling Joint Base in Washington D.C., Georgian Ambassador to the United States Tamar Taliashvili shared this information on social media.
According to her, the event was attended by the Defense Attaché, Irodi Kadagishvili and his deputy, Giorgi Dumbadze.
“The Georgian section presented an exhibition dedicated to two distinguished Georgians who served in the U.S. military – General John Malkhaz Shalikashvili, former Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff and a distinguished Georgian inventor and aircraft designer, Alexander Kartveli.
The event also featured traditional Georgian clothing, wine, and cuisine.
The event was organized by the Air and Space Forces Spouses Club, with Georgia represented by Mrs. Tamar Sachaneli, spouse of the Georgian Defense Attaché. Among the distinguished guests were members of the U.S. Armed Forces, representatives of embassies and defense institutions accredited in the United States, as well as other honored attendees,” Tamar Taliashvili wrote.
