Our allies are fully aware that dealing with the Georgian Dream is difficult, if not impossible, for the opposition, Republican Party Chair Khatuna Samnidze said, echoing EU Commissioner Olivér Varhelyi’s remarks.
The main message, according to Samnidze, is that Georgia must meet 12 requirements to be considered for candidate status.
“One of the pressing priorities for depolarization is making decisions based on consensus between the government and the opposition. Our allies understand how difficult, and even impossible, it is for the opposition to engage with the Georgian Dream. The Georgian Dream disregards all viewpoints and makes decisions on a one-party basis,” Samnidze stated.
