All performance measurement frameworks give State Audit Service top scores, Parliament Speaker says

“I’m glad that all performance measurement frameworks give the State Audit Service the top scores. Many ratings demonstrate how much Georgia as a state has advanced in terms of institutional development,” Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, stated at the presentation of the Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF) and the results of the implementation of the strategic plan.

“I’m glad that all performance measurement frameworks give the State Audit Service the top scores. You also mentioned a few reports in which the State Audit Service received particularly high ratings; in this regard, it demonstrates the level of institutional development in Georgia’s governance. Additionally, many ratings demonstrate that fact-based analysis demonstrates how much Georgia as a state has advanced in terms of institutional development,” Papuashvili said.

According to him, the State Audit Service is one of the crucial tools for the Parliament to control the issues of state financial management.

According to him, it is essential that, on the one hand, the State Audit Service boasts of high professionalism and independence. On the other hand, the Parliament to be ready to listen to the audit conclusions and reports with appropriate professionalism.

Representatives of the Parliament, government, and international and non-governmental organizations attended the presentation organized with the support of the Economic Governance and Fiscal Accountability (EGFA) technical assistance project of the European Union and the World Bank.
