Aleksandr Ankvab to be appointed as PM in occupied Abkhazia

Aleksandr Ankvab has been appointed as de-facto Prime Minister of occupied Abkhazia region – so-called Abkhazian president Aslan Bzhania reported during a press conference.

Ankvab was a former president of occupied Abkhazia in 2011-2014. Other staff changes are not yet planned in the so-called government neither holding of negotiations with opponent politician Adgur Ardzinba.

So-called presidential elections were held in Abkhazia on March 22. According to the election commission of the occupational regime, Aslan Bzhania received 56.5% of votes.
