“I’m ready to be a mayoral candidate, and I won’t spare myself anywhere. If there’s another stronger, more combative candidate, I’ll support them. I’m not interested in any post in return,” stated Aleko Elisashvili, one of the leaders of Lelo-Strong Georgia, during the Palitranews program.

Aleko Elisashvili claimed that he would be a thousand times better mayor than Kakha Kaladze (current Tbilisi Mayor and mayoral candidate of the ruling party).

“We won’t have an easy fight. We’re entering a very unequal battle. Yes, we are entering an electoral race. As for me, if such a decision is made, I’m ready to be a mayoral candidate. I won’t spare myself anywhere. I would be a thousand times better mayor than Kakha Kaladze,” declared Aleko Elisashvili.

Aleko Elisashvili expressed his support for Gakharia for Georgia’s position that an agreement should be reached on a neutral candidate.

“I have no political or career ambitions whatsoever. Whoever becomes the mayoral candidate, I’ll sit with them for hours and, together with qualified people, prove that it’s possible to eliminate traffic jams in Tbilisi completely within one year. My candidacy is under consideration, along with those of other potential candidates. If there’s another stronger, more combative candidate, I’ll definitely support them. I’m not interested in any position in exchange for my support,” declared Aleko Elisashvili.
